Ammonite Biostratigraphy Fieldwork March 2015
|
To improve our understanding of timing in the Western High Atlas Basin we collaborate with researcher Dr. Luc Bulot of Aix-Marseille University, CEREGE. He is well-respected expert in ammonite biostratigraphy with numerous high impact, peer-reviewed papers.
Main aim was to collect data around regionally important surfaces for intra- and inter-basin correlations. Fieldwork was carried out from the 14th to the 22nd of March, 2015 and focused mainly on the Agadir to Essaouira region along the Moroccan Atlantic Margin. A large amount of material was collected and is currently being processed at the institute in France. Further collaborations will follow. |
